Youth Getaway '12 - Gateway to God.
So in the morning we’re taking our youth from Church away for 5 days, coming back Friday.
We’re staying at this awesome converted farmhouse in Wales, surrounded by wonderful countryside, with coast nearby and a forest complete with big ol’ treehouse.
It’s going to be good to get out of this town. Both for the young people and for me too; I desperately need it.

Last day of the school year.
So many spend all year counting down to it,
some don’t even notice it creeping up because they’re caught up with their work,
and very few dislike it.
I am one of the very few.
As excited as I may be about getting my new class in September (another class whom I worked with in Year 3), I hate goodbyes in the best of scenarios, and this class in particular will be hard to let go. Today I have...

Today is Pyjama Day at work!
When the children see my onesie,

away.

This also takes my mind off of the fact that tomorrow I say goodbye to the first bunch of children I worked with when I started, back when they were little cherubs in Year 3…now they’re finishing Year 6 and moving on to the next stage of their lives…it’s going to be an emotional day.

Confession.
As much as I’m loving performing in this show at the moment,
a big part of me will be glad when it’s over..mainly because I’ve allowed it to become a huge drain on time spent with my God and my only best friend, Jesus.
Don’t get me wrong, I love acting; the costume, learning lines, right up to the thrill of feeding off the audience responses and the relief as you deliver...

Busy week!
As many of you are aware, this week is the performance week for the production I was lucky enough to be given the lead role in a mere 5 or so weeks ago.
Last night was opening night - and it couldn’t have gone any better! The audience loved it, the director was pleased as punch with our performances, and I received more than a few kind words which will stay with me for a long time!

This is sort of a new habit I want to get into; after all, what’s the use in having a Father who blesses me insanely if i’m going to live my life with eyes blinded to it? Not very honouring at all, so let’s get that’s sorted. :)

Contrary to popular belief
I am still around.
I’ve just been super-busy…it’s draining stuff, as i’m sure some of you will understand. Trying so hard to cling to God through it all as well, as i’ve been feeling somewhat cut off as of late.
Prayers for strength, persistence and the ability to endure would all be so welcome right now, and maybe once it all dies down and I have time and clarity...
