God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called!

Unashamedly in love with my Lord and Saviour.
Living life by loving others.

Passions and things that make this man include:
ministering to the young hearts of the world,
watching films,
submerging myself in the wonder of music both through listening and composition,
photography,
tattoos,
acting and theatre,
coffee,
adventures,
wildlife,
space and astronomy,
writing in many forms,
and exploring the beauty of the world around us.

If by this point you think we're on the verge of becoming new friends, feel free to inform me of this rather wonderful realisation...

Ask anything or drop in a prayer request too! I'd love to pray with/for you!
Be blessed. :D

The Best Sermon

A young Englishman preached a message before a renounced pastor of many years. Upon finishing his sermon, the young man went to the old pastor to ask how he had done:

“What do you think of my sermon, sir?” he asked.

“A very poor sermon indeed,” he said.

“A poor sermon!” said the young man, “it took me a long time to study it.”

“Ah, no doubt of it.” the old pastor replied.

“Why, then, do you say it was poor; did you not think my explanation of the text to be accurate?”

“Oh yes,” said the old preacher, “very correct indeed.”

“Well, then, why do you say it is a poor sermon? Didn’t you think the metaphors were appropriate, and the arguments conclusive?”

“Yes, they were very good, as far as that goes, but still it was a very poor sermon.”

“Will you tell me why you think it a poor sermon?”

“Because,” he said, “THERE WAS NO CHRIST IN IT.”

“Well,” said the young man, “Christ was not in the text; we are not to be preaching Christ always, we must preach what is in the text.”

So the old man said, “Don’t you know, young man, that from every town, and every village, and every little hamlet in England, wherever it may be, there is a road to London?”

“Yes,” said the young man.

“Ah!” said the old preacher, “and so from EVERY TEXT in Scripture there is a road to the metropolis of the Scriptures, that is CHRIST. And, my dear brother, your business is, when you get to a text, to say, ‘Now, what is the road to Christ?’ and then preach a sermon, running along the road towards the great metropolis – Christ. And,” he added, “I have never yet found a text that had no such road.

A sermon is not fit for anything unless Christ in it.”

Dear Affectionate Anons: Honestly, I am totally humbled by your messages - it’s all very flattering; however I can’t help but feel that your love could be put to much more effective (and needed) use than frittered on some random guy…

There’s a world out there that needs you to show them the love of Christ, because you may be the only glimpse of ‘Jesus’ they see in their earthly days -

Surely that’s a more deserving cause than I?

Don’t let my beard or ‘cool accent’ blind you to the desperate need for love elsewhere in this world.

The real answers are found not in the mouths or minds of man, but in the hands and feet of Christ.

If you’re going to belong to any ‘fandom’, go for the best one; it’s called ‘Christendom’.

Anyone can join, my friend.

to all ‘Tumblr famous’ Christians…

Now I might be out of line here, but if you’re considered to be Tumblr famous, that obviously means that a lot of people see your blog, the things you post on a day-to-day basis, and like what they see. You’re something of a mini-networking-celebrity in the making.

Now I address this to anybody claiming to live for the Almighty, but today I particularly speak to the ‘famous’ among you. They say it’s easy to be a Tumblr Christian, but even so; my challenge to you is, as a follower of Christ, are your posts, your reblogs and the things you say, share and show on your blog setting a Christ-like example to both your siblings in Christ whom you should want to encourage and build up, and, perhaps more importantly, those who read your blog who are unsaved and need to hear the Gospel?

Think about it - if you have thousands of followers on here, you’re attracting a lot of attention. Your thoughts and words, your passions and the things on your heart are shared directly with (accounting for reblogs) potentially tens-of thousands millions of people…that’s like having a virtual congregation in a Church building as big as the world…

The entire body of Christ and all who are yet to be saved.

As somebody clearly seen as a popular figure on Tumblr, are you setting a truly Christ-like example for your thousands of followers? Would your posts inspire people to seek more of God?

If not, then it might be worth thinking about what is on your blog that is attracting people, and whether that is more important than our Lord and Saviour.

just some food for thought.

…as for me, God, I pray keep me Tumblr humble and true to You.

"Your love must be real. Hate what is evil, and hold on to what is good. Love each other like brothers and sisters. Give each other more honor than you want for yourselves. Do not be lazy but work hard, serving the Lord with all your heart. Be joyful because you have hope. Be patient when trouble comes, and pray at all times. Share with God’s people who need help. Bring strangers in need into your homes."

Her Faith Will See Her Through: No excuse!

Today has been one of those days that just feel like there never going to end! 4am start and a proper full on day! At last I’ve stopped for a cup of beautiful Tea and some food before I go to Confidence in Creation Course this evening. Even though it’s been a busy day I still try to read my Bible,…
