Why must we continuously long for the appearance of others when we ourselves are crafted in the image of perfection Himself?

I love the vast array of means of communication that God has brought us - it is such a blessing to be able to communicate with the family of Christ that are thousands of miles away as easily as those in my own home.

One of the ways is texting. The marvels of technology even produced an app that allows me to have a US cellphone number so I can text you for free! The best part is that replying costs you folks nothing more than texting your own stateside chums! :)

Some of you already have my number, and I love talking with you’s, so this is more for those of you who might want a more convenient way to keep in touch; or if not? Well, it would be cool to have your number anyway so I can encourage and share with you!

So yeah, let me know if you’d like my number, or send me yours. :)

We’re celebrating the Jubilee at school today (my job in case you were unaware and thought I was just a very hairy 9-year old!), and so as we show our thanks for the monarchy here in the UK, I thought I’d sneak in a display of gratitude of my own!

Thankyou to those of you who still stick about even though I don’t get on here as much anymore, who still pray for me and encourage me knowing full well I might not see it for days.

Honestly means the world. It’s good to know that even though I’m not constantly reblogging things to fill up your Dash, or answering your questions within 5 minutes of you sending them,

that you are quite content to hang around and keep lifting me up before the Lord, even though almost all of you are hundreds, even thousands of miles away and living out your own lives; you still find time for little me.

It’s oh so humbling and makes me smile in a big way. :)

To those of you who felt the need to leave however, the Lord be your strength and shield, bring you every provision you need according to His will and keep a hand over your life all your days - bless you!

A few quiet days,

as God’s been blessing me with some awesome times (those of you who have my twitter, facebook or instagram will know), but I’ll get round to answering those messages etc. soon! I’m not ignoring any of you! :)

Also, I might have secured a last-minute lead role in a theatre production…oh how I have missed the excitement of the stage.

But like I said, ‘might’ have.

Something I am quickly learning -

Even though some people only ever use me as a last resort for conversation, when nobody else is available to talk to, when they want something from me or they simply feel obliged to…

that’s still a chance for witness that has God’s handprints all over it.

Home sweet home after an incredible night…

Wow.

There is, however, one piece of bad news…
Not that it will really affect many, if any of you,
but my holiday to Orlando has now been cancelled because of a disagreement between friends.

The lack of holiday with them isn’t even the bad part of the news,
it’s the missing out on meeting some of you’s.

Maybe God will work something together another time but yeah.

Sad times.

BUT -

God is still splendidly and magnificently awesome!

Before you start claiming that you are all alone or that nobody wants you;

just remember that the same God who watches you try to fill the space in your heart with people and things, is

ǝʌol uı slǝǝɥ ɹǝʌo pɐǝɥ

with you.

And He called firsts.

I am tired of allowing myself to fall into that trap where I rely on people more than God.

Lord, help me mend my ways.

Remind me that ‘twas not by human hand that universes were formed and paths of life masterfully planned out with loving forethought and care,

but by YOUR superior power, Father.

I beg of You.

I’ve got to stop loving the outside world from the inside of my room.

You may not have noticed, but I’m not posting as much these days, nor am I spending my every free hour trawling through the content of my Dash.

I am swiftly realising that I cannot live out my life through this blog. There is a world out there with people who I can physically get out there and help, instead of just saying a few well-chosen words that might pick them up if they’re having a down day.

Don’t get me wrong, I love talking and sharing with all of you, but I honestly don’t think I genuinely help people on here as much as if say, I was actually visiting somebody in their home or on the street and witnessing to them in that manner.

Am I saying I want rid of this thing and you lovely lot?

Of course not.

That would be ridiculous, as I have met many people on here who have had, and who continue to have a profound impact and influence on my life and who are a constant source of encouragement, challenge and motivation to grow in Christ…not to mention being upheld in prayer…it’s a wonderful and life-affirming thing to know that when I wake up in bed each morning, that someone somewhere might have just prayed for little old me and my life.

What I am saying is that my life should not must not be based here, within the confines of cyberspace. The strands of fellowship and affection between us may be real, but while we sit here in our internet Christian club sporadically building each other up in the Lord for upwards of 6 hours a day, there are literally billions of people out there who need teaching about the Gospel, and who are in desperate need of the best kind of love that we, as Christians, have the advantage of being able to offer - 

The love of Christ.

So, what to take from this?

I am going to be around these parts a little less often,

but in no way does that change the fact I am here for each and every one of you as a brother in Christ and more simply, as a friend.

There are other ways to reach me (which are actually more convenient) which you only need ask for and I will gladly pass on to you…

But I need to lessen the intake of irrelevant reblogs, people ranting excessively about things which could actually be helped undoubtedly by spending time before God in prayer and in His presence rather than name-dropping and resorting to harsh words, couples snuggling on sofas, cats and people in attractive outfits on beaches…I need more of the outside world that I’ve been trying to love from inside the four walls of my room.

May the peace, blessings and love of Christ linger within you and produce a light impenetrable as we take our faith out to the lost who need it.
