Talking to a colleague about their visit to Yellowstone.
I HAVE to go.
I have even started to financially research it.
I’m thinking between May and August next summer.
Takers?

I have even started to financially research it.
I’m thinking between May and August next summer.
Takers?
Polishing off the last few bits of packing and then catching some sleep for a few hours…
Yeah right - I’ll be watching my BBC “Life” boxset!
:D
Then at 3am we set off to fly out to Turkey for a week of all shades blue and green that I love so very much…soaking up the wonder of God’s creation, snapshot-ing photographic memories and relaxation aplenty, with a touch of Super Mario-themed card games and Dungeons & Dragons to boot!
Yep, you read that right.
Have a wonderfully blessed week, my brothers and sisters; may your troubles and worries be lifted from your minds and may the grace and peace of the Lord go with you wherever you tread and whatever you do, whether you have a faith or not -
Know that you are loved so very much and it’s a love that doesn’t fade with time so much that inhabits our world.
Try not to miss me too much you lovely, lovely people (I kid, I kid)! Any messages etc will be responded to when I return!
:D
…I’m headed to Turkey for a week.
A chance to get away and just relax.
My first actual holiday (without responsibility for a group of young people or otherwise) in around 4 years.
Also, I get to see a new country and take heaps of photos too!
Just pray that the Lord will go with me, and His hand guide me and keep us safe, friends.
:)
Originally done as part of a video challenge I was set, this is the quickest summary of my life right now that I can provide (filmed yesterday), seeing as it would take weeks to write all the details into a text post…believe me, I began one a month ago.
If you wish to know more info about any of it, just ask.

What does a staircase hold? Well, that all depends what lies at the top and the bottom really. To some, it’s a weary trudge laced with complacency at the end of a working day that holds a hot bath, comfy clothing and junk food, others still a dash, each planted foot skipping two steps between as they rush home to a family, pet, or worst case scenario, bills.
This particular staircase, however, is having a quiet week as the family that utilise it are currently midway across the Pacific, jetting to their holiday destination. The peace is appreciated; a well-deserved rest for our aging friend in his worsening state. The spilling of coffee and deafening thud of their 2 young children as they tear up and down the wooden pieces that combine to make the whole takes a leave of absence, giving these stairs time to admire the surrounding oak, pale yellow curtains and cream furnishing of this well-worn suburban abode. Time that will eventually expire.
I did a couple of Summer Holiday Clubs at my family Church, and here is some of the mail I got from kids over the course of the week each year.
Looking through these stories, compliments, jokes, pictures and sometimes almost incomprehensible scribbles (the children were aged 5-11) never fails to make me smile, and is brilliant evidence of just why God values these little ones so much, and why we should aswell!
God is so good to me in allowing me to work daily with children in a school as He knows how close they are to my heart, but being in this environment is so different, where I can not only talk about and demonstrate, but am actively encouraged to teach about the love of God and engage in being a Christ-like influence and invest in their future in a way that the education system does not really allow, even for such a short period of time; it’s such a fantastic opportunity and I always embrace it fully!
Thank you Lord! Just another way in which You bless me! :) <3

Wow.
There is, however, one piece of bad news…
Not that it will really affect many, if any of you,
but my holiday to Orlando has now been cancelled because of a disagreement between friends.
The lack of holiday with them isn’t even the bad part of the news,
it’s the missing out on meeting some of you’s.
Maybe God will work something together another time but yeah.
Sad times.
BUT -
God is still splendidly and magnificently awesome!
:D
I’ll see y’all when I get back - hopefully I won’t be wrapped up in plaster!
:D
Feel free to drop me any prayer requests/messages for when I get back!
Have a wonderful weekend and following week,
smile, laugh, sing, do all the crazy joyful things that make life worth living…
but most importantly,
spend time with God.
He just loves it.
Peace and blessings be yours in Christ always,
Shaun!
